Voortman Cookies was the first to remove Trans Fats from all our products, and our innovative Zero Trans Fat Cookies have earned Voortman Cookies two awards at the prestigious SIAL d'Or contest in Paris, France.

Voortman Cookies won this top honor for having the best new products in the confectionery biscuits and bread category. Voortman's Zero Trans Fat Cookies were also awarded a Canadian National SIAL d'Or for scoring the most points of all Canadian entries.

The SIAL d'Or awards are organized every second year by the Paris-based SIAL food and beverage show, which seeks to identify and recognize the world’s most outstanding new products.

Since 1993, The Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards™ have celebrated advancement and excellence in new food distribution industry products. Organized by the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors (CCGD), this unique awards program supports industry members who are constantly looking to enhance their product offerings and meet the needs of today’s consumers.

In a wide range of food, non-food and private label categories, the nominees are evaluated for excellence in packaging, design, originality and quality. The blue-ribbon judging panel is comprised of consumers, food editors and journalists, food industry experts and CCGD members from across Canada.

In 2009, Voortman's new Dark Chocolate Omega 3 Flax Seed Cookie was recognized by this panel and nominated as one of the top three new products of the year.
